Toxin Binding Kitcheri

This is an excellent recipe to use during the Spring or Fall detox seasons.  It is designed to bind the toxins in the colon to avoid resorption.


  • 2 oz of Tapioca pearls
  • 1 oz of Split Mung Dal
  • 1 tsp of your spice mix
  • 1 cup of chopped okra
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 6 curry leaves
  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro leaf
  • 1 tsp of coriander seed
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • 1 tsp of olive oil

First dry toast the tapioca, mung dal, curry leaf and spice mix. Then add 16oz of water and olive oil. Add everything else except lime and bring to boil. Cook till done and makes a kitcheri. Next add the lime juice. Do not cook the lime juice... it makes it acidic.

This kitcheri will bind the toxins so they will not reabsorb.
