Yogurt raita is a wonderful yogurt sauce with spices. Prabha makes the best I've ever eaten. You'll enjoy this one!
Ingredients
- Yogurt Plain......................................................1 cup
- Grated Carrot....................................................1 tbs
- Chopped cucumber..........................................1/2 cup
- Chopped cilantro.............................................1/4 cup
- Curry leaf........................................................1 stem
- Cumin seeds....................................................1/2 tsp
- Ginger chopped...............................................2 tsp
- Cilantro stem chopped....................................1 tsp
- Ghee...............................................................1 tbs
- Cooling Soma Salt.........................................1/2 tsp
Instructions:
- Mix yogurt with cucumber, carrot, salt and cilantro, set aside.
- Heat ghee in a small frying pan. add ginger, cilantro stems, curry leaves, crushed cumin seeds.
- Fry until things starts to turn brown, take it off the heat. let stand to cool for a few minutes, add to the yogurt and mix.
