Description

DGL means Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (called Yastimadhu in Sanskrit). The glycyrrhizin has been removed from the licorice because it can cause sodium retention and increase blood pressure. We use DGL extensively in SVA Ayurveda to neutralize acidic toxins (Ama Visha) in the blood and liver. It is unique among Ayurvedic herbs because it can open the channels and support detoxification without heating the physiology — making it suitable for Pitta types and those with inflammatory conditions.

DGL Transdermal Cream is particularly effective for:

Neutralizing acidic toxins (Ama Visha) in the blood and liver
Supporting liver detoxification and channel opening
Reducing systemic inflammation without aggravating Pitta
Cooling and soothing overheated tissues
Supporting healthy cholesterol and blood quality

Directions

Apply the Transdermal Cream to the spine, swiping downwards 7 times in the morning and evening.

To cool Ama Visha in the liver: apply to the liver area in a clockwise direction morning and evening.

Or use as directed by an SV Ayurvedic practitioner.
